We bring a holistic treatment without cost for our patients. 90% of them live in poverty and extreme poverty conditions.

Brindamos un tratamiento integral sin costo para nuestros pacientes. El 90% de ellos viven en condiciones de pobreza y pobreza extrema.
In average, 150 patients are cared daily through our outpatient clinic. Some of them go for their treatment, others go for the regular check-up, and others receive diagnosis and treatment.
  • Poverty & Extreme Poverty
    90% of families have an average monthly income less than $250/month and live in extreme poverty.
  • Undernourishment
    50% of children have a moderate or a severe case of malnourishment by the time they are diagnosed.
  • Diagnosis
    35% of children are not diagnosed until they already have an advanced case of the disease.
  • Language & Beliefs
    Most of them speak one of the 23 Guatemalan Mayan Languages and 50% of them are Mayan descendants. They also differ in their beliefs with the philosophy of life and medicines from the Western world.
  • Ages
    48% are 0 to 5
    31% are 6 to 10
    18% are 11 to 15
    3% are 16 to 18 years old
  • Live far away
    70% of them live in rural areas and they travel hours to receive their treatments.
Actualmente se atienden a diario alrededor de 150 pacientes en la Consulta Externa, algunos asisten para recibir su tratamiento, otros para su control regular y otros para recibir diagnóstico y poder ser atendidos.
  • Pobreza y Pobreza Extrema
    90% tienen ingreso familiar menor de $250/mes y viven en condiciones de pobreza y pobreza extrema.
  • Desnutrición
    50% de los casos al diagnóstico con malnutrición moderada o severa.
  • Diagnóstico
    El 35% de ellos son diagnosticados hasta que la enfermedad está avanzada
  • Idioma y Creencias
    El 50% de la población es de descendencia Maya y hablan uno de los 23 Idiomas Mayas. También difieren en sus creencias con la filosofía de vida y medicina de la visión occidental.
